Christmas (Or Not) Fair-Isle Hat

$5.99

Want to make a new, pretty hat in Christmas colors? (Or possibly in different colors?) This is your hat!

Choose 4 colors of yarn. You’ll need one background (one skein of any of the recommended yarns will do), and then about 25 yards each of 3 more contrasting colors.

You’ll also need beads. (Of course, you could leave them off--but that would be sad.) For worsted-weight yarn, I like to use size 5 beads, but size 6 would also work. Beads are added with a crochet hook as you go. I have a video for how to do this at reallyclear.com.

To make this hat, you should know how to do Fair Isle. If you don’t, I have a video at reallyclear.com, or you could buy my First Fair Isle pattern. The hat is knit in the round on circular needles.

Thanks for joining in, and have fun making your holiday (or not) hat!
